Chapter 4 : Zu Lee - Facing The Dragon

"Armaan is right." Bahadur said "answers lie in China"

"Speak clearly Bahadur," Sharma said

"The only Chinese person to book into to hotel marigold last month was  Zu
Lee" Bahadur said

"I'll ask him to be tracked," Sharma replied

A background scan was done on Zu Lee. It was found that he was vice president of dragon pharmaceuticals company based on Beijing. It was decided to monitor his activities and to obtain more information about the company before a covert operation could be planed.

"He is coming next week "Bahadur rushed inside the room

"Zu Lee ?" Sharma asked.

"Yes. Hotel Marigold."

"Do you have any plan?"

"It will be an abduction."

''You serious! You are trying to abduct vice president of a Chinese MNC? I won't sanction this mission.''

"It's our only chance''

''Well....in case you are caught. You know what to do right ?"

"Yes."

"Hmmm. Ok you leave two days before his arrival."

"7th March. That's the day of his arrival"
Bahadur said

Zafar, Armaan, and Varun were sitting on the opposite end of the table. Varun got up

"So I'll do it along with Zafar "? Varun asked

"Yes, Armann will act as a backup and I will be in a van. Getting it ready for our escape." Bahadur replied

"Where have you kept the bottle of chloroform?" Zafar asked

"Is in the cupboard second drawer from the bottom" Armaan replied and got up

"He'll check in tomorrow morning around 11:00 a.m."Varun said

"Good," Armaan said and turned on the TV

"I'm going out for a walk," Zafar said and left the room.

All four of them were in Hotel Marigold. Armaan turned on the news channel

"Looks like Rajanswami will win the upcoming election if this anchor is reliable, "Armaan said 

Varun suddenly turned towards the television his eyes were fixed on screen he was still thinking about Rajan.

'Breaking News' the screen flashed

'Islamic Jihad Front claims life of 3 in Kashmir Valley'

Armaan switched the channel.

"Look the new Salman Khan Movie is having its premiere. I don't want to miss it for sure!" Armaan said 

"Come on! We are here on a serious business Armaan !" Bahadur said.

"Looks Like you are a Shah Ruk fan Bahadur." Armaan joked

"I'm going to sleep' Varun said and went towards the bedroom.

"When will it end ?" Bahadur asked Armaan

"11:30." It says

"Ok. Now shift. I also want to watch it" Bahadur said

In the morning Varun,Zafar and Armaan identified Zu Lee and decide to abduct him at night.

They also followed him and found that he intended to meet the two Nepali brother but could not find them as they had shifted back to their village after their encounter with Varun last time

They had book two rooms. One on the same floor as Zu Lee. And another on the opposite wing of the hotel. From where they could see Zu Lee's window

Bahadur was on the watch in the opposite wing. While Zafar, Armaan, and Varun were on the same floor as Zu Lee.

Bahadur called Varun just when he saw lights going off in Lee's room.

Varun and Zafar found him locking his room and going towards the lift. Armaan was to follow five minutes late as he was the backup.

As soon as he pushed the lift button Varun sneaked behind him

"Follow us toward the fire exit if you don't want to die, Lee, I have a gun," Varun said 

Lee followed him without a question and as soon as they entered the fire exit Zafar made him inhale Chloroform after which Lee fainted. They took him to the Van.

"Armann will come any minute Bahadur, "said 

"Mission complete" Zafar rejoice

Exactly at that moment, they heard gunshots from inside the hotel

"I'll go and check if Armaan is alright!!" Bahadur shouted you too escape 

"It looks like we have been double-crossed!" Varun said 

Bahadur ran inside the hotel and Zafar drove away from the van with Varun and Lee inside it. 

Varun and Zafar reached their safe house
It was the same one used to interrogate the Nepali brothers They changed their SIM cards and then again drugged Lee

"We should leaver for India now," Zafar said.

"Yes both of them will come back if they are safe," Varun said

"Allah will keep them safe Varun" Zafar said

"Let's take the Chinese dragon to India," Varun said and looked towards Lee

It was 10 a.m. and Varun was in his flight with his other teammates one of them was Varun old friend from the academy Armaan Kaushik who was an interrogation specialist The other was Bahadur Singh whose father was Nepali and he had been working with RAW for more than 10 years.
